DYI Fishing Lights -
This is how to Make LED Fish Lights, Fshing Lights DIY (Do It Yourself) Fish LED Light Build..
Hi I am going to show you how you can make your own LED Fishing Lights…
It’s no secret; you can make the same type of LED Fishing lights as you can buy on the market…
This information is something that you won't see the manufactures posting...
But I will be making it available to all our DIY (Do It Yourself) members...
that are interested in making your own either as a hobby or to save yourself some money!!!
I found that the green "SMD 5050 LED’s Tri Chip" Strips, provide more lumens than the SMD 3528 led strips.
First you will need to order the parts needed to start your build…
PARTS LIST:
Fishing Light Supplies Needed to Build your DIY Shrimp Lights…
LED Green light strips (High Lumens)
40 ft SJOOW 2W 16/2 Bulk Cable
Liquid Tight Cordgrips
Schedule 40 PVC White End Caps
Schedule 40 PVC Clear Pipe

Solder and flux
Thick Rope
Line Clip
12 volt Plug, 12 Volt Cigarette lighter Plug, Battery Clips, or Hard Wire Battery Clip
Zip ties
NOTE: If using Flat End Caps, you do not need the Bushings or Couplings, instead you drill a hole and just screw in your Liquid Tight Cordgrip with a seal and nut, adding a drop of 5200 to the under side... (just for added protection)
The hole needs to be drilled with a drill press!!! Drilling by hand will not be accurate enough to except the Liquid Tight Cordgrip...

How to Make LED Fishing Lights,
DIY (Do It Yourself) Fishing LED Light Build..
I will show you step by step
Here is an overview on how to build your own fishing lights
Make sure you solder your wiring and do not Butt Connect them, mainly because Butt connectors can malfunction and create a short and your lights will go out...
When you solder them together this cannot happen and your lights will be reliable for years...
Putting LED Fish Light Together
Cut your outer Clear Tubing to size...
Cut your inner PVC Pipe to size...
Drill hole for wiring...
Test fit all components...
Clean off inside PVC Pipe with either acetone or alcohol...
In this photo you can see the hole I drilled for the LED wiring to go through...
Using a Dremel tool...
Now using gloves peal the 3M off of the back of the LED Strip, ONLY a Little at a time... Making sure it does not get contaminated with dust...
Then wrap the LED Light Strip around the inside PVC Pipe...
The LED Light Should look like this...
Install the two end rings to the inside pipe, so the inside pipe has a snug fit too the inside of the end caps, so the lights wrapped around the pipe does not rattle...
OK, ready for testing your light, before you solder the wiring together... and place heat shrink around the wiring...
I use a rubber mallet to tap on the end caps for a flush fit...
OK, this is important:
Notice that there is a slight space on each side of the LED Light Strip....
This is not a mistake, or mismeasurement ... It was done on purpose...
if you make the lights to short they will not have the proper buoyancy....
Note: The lights need to float under the water, so you can adjust the float level.... so the lights need to be buoyant...
Your finished light should look something like the below...
This Shrimp Light Build has 150 GREEN LED Lights
