Sebastian Inlet Sebastian Fishing Pier / Jetty

Sebastian Inlet Sebastian Inlet State Recreation Area

Sebastian Inlet Fishing Pier / Jetty, 9700 S. State Road A1A Melbourne Beach, Florida 32951

Sebastian Inlet State Recreation Area

This fishing pier is on the northern side of the Sebastian Inlet and extends about 500 feet over the water. And has some boat ramps. And it also has a Pier Jetty on the South Side.

Boat launch ramps are available on both sides of Sebastian Inlet. The main boat launch facility with 4 boat ramps is located on the south side of Sebastian Inlet. It is open 24-hours, everyday. A mile north of Sebastian Inlet, the Inlet Marina boat ramp is open only during Inlet Marina business hours. Ramp docks are ADA accessible.

A non-motorized boat launch is located on the south side of Sebastian Inlet at Coconut Point. Canoes, kayaks and sailboats are easily launched from this sandy, gentle sloping area.

About Sebastian Inlet State Park

Sebastian Inlet State Park and we have been enjoying mild temperatures and great beach days for several weeks.  The popular tidal cove on the north side of the park has recently been spruced up and ready for those looking to enjoy great weather mixed with a beautiful view of Sebastian Inlet.

Fishing has been good and the catches are typical for springtime.  Black drum, sheepshead, a few bluefish, and some nice pompano are making anglers happy that are fishing the park’s north jetty.  The pompano fishing has also picked up on the adjacent beaches just to the north and south of the inlet proper.  Also look for whiting, trout, and lookdowns to grace anglers.

Come out and join our knowledgeable Rangers for a different program each Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Sebastian Inlet Fishing Museum.  Programs include beach walks, interpretive talks, skills demonstrations, slide presentations, birding tours, and more.

Also on Saturdays will be a “Ranger’s Choice” program.  Topic, time, and meeting place will be announced.

“Breakfast with a Ranger” dining opportunities will happen at The Inlet Grill & Gift on Sunday mornings at 9 am.

And don’t forget our series of special park concerts–Night Sounds–scheduled on Friday or Saturday nights once a month near the full of the moon.  Concerts continue through May.

Please call 772-388-2750 for further details, or visit the events and programs pages of this site.
